about

hiiii there, I’m Shelby – Jesus has tugged on my heart to use my time here on earth to be a servant to Him and others, so this is my attempt to do just that through some of my favorite things: words.

I am forever in awe of the most creative and wild One and He has etched a lot of things on my heart throughout my 22 short years. And He doesn’t want me to keep it to myself. He’s told me to shout it from the mountaintops.

So, here I am. My walls broken down in vulnerability and my heart on my sleeve. I am quick to laugh and quick to skip the small talk, chasing the sunshine and taking this life one day at a time.

I am broken and far from perfect, but Christ has washed me white as snow in His death and resurrection, and I’ve devoted my life to living for Him. We are just the broken leading the broken ya know? I pray for you, that God will speak to you through my words in some way and that they may touch your heart.

Enough about me, because this is never about me, but the real reason I made this little thing anyways. The Lord has called me to a very special purpose in my earthly life.. I’ve felt called to be a light to all that I come across and show them the immaculate love that He Himself shows to all of His children. My life is full of happiness and joy, but it’s proven fact that we all hit little (and big) bumps in the road, sometimes causing us to rely on the only one that can fulfill us, our good, gracious, beautiful God. Although life is full of ups and downs, I’ve chosen to SMILE through it all, and be present in the moment.

Because even when it’s the hardest, we serve a faithful Father, and at the end of the day, she’ll be smiling.

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light and find out what pleases the Lord.” Ephesians 5:8-10

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
